Ability To Duplicate Characters & Realms

I suppose this is essentially a request for the ability to make saves, but I’d like to be able to take a character and realm and duplicate them so I can brach off and try different things in different playthroughs without starting over from scratch. For example, so I could try fighting a boss again to learn its moveset better, to see what happens if I visit a particular area before another, or enchant a weapon differently.
