On my weapon I have “Take 23% damage on Focus Spend”. When I eat “Shepherd’s Pie” I lose focus and take damage.
Don’t look at your food when eating.

I could not reproduce this. Could you potentially clip this? Are there maybe more factors at play here, like the Scarlet ring? Negative modifiers?

I noticed that Character will take damage and lose focus and not consume food, when that negative effect is on your gear.
Weapon:
Before:
After using Food item, character takes 6 damage and loses focus.
Eating Food item again….. after Focus/damage has been taken:
This one really eludes me. Is your character pre-Together update?

Found the problem. Sadly it was user error lol. I had keybinds for “Eating food” and “Utility Rune” set to same keybind. Changed them to different keybinds, problem fixed.
