Together Patch 1 - 6th March Q&A Summary

Information from the 6th March Q&A Stream with Patrick, Corey and Thomas

  • Coming this month (March). We don’t have a date yet.,
  • This will not have the class system enabled yet. That will be coming for 1.0. (1.0 is the final version of No Rest for the Wicked.)

Comfort System
If you love furnishing your houses, the Comfort system is going to elevate that. Where you place furniture, the quality of the furniture, etc.. That is going to increase your Comfort grade. There are six Comfort grades. These grades give a buff/multiple buffs when you sleep in your home.

Duelling
You can initiate a duel anywhere in the world. Local PvP. Just walk up to another player, challenge them and fight. It’s in a testing state when it lands on Patch 1 meaning that we want to get statistics, feedback and see exactly what modifiers we need to apply to balance it a little bit.

Balancing

  • Quite frankly, there are some silly mistakes in the current Wicked live build. We are going to fix things such as the crazy damage reduction at 200%, elemental resistances, enchantment power, etc. There will be diminishing returns.,
  • Archer class will also have damage mitigation (arrow damage dropoff). You will no longer be able to deal the same damage from a far distance which was creating an easy mode for the class. We are addressing some of the cheesing basically.,
  • Combat is going to always be centred on being intentional, tactical and strategic. Timing, positioning and spacing should always matter. Some builds were making these core essentials redundant. We are making sure the combat stays true to these visceral core factors.,

Ember drop rates will get a bit of a tweak.

Misleading enchantments such as issues with lifesteal will also be cleared up.

Realm Diary
This is a QoL largely beneficial for Co Op; you will be able to see what your friends have been up to whilst you were offline. ‘Bob killed [insert boss], Bob upgraded this at this particular time of the day’ etc.,

And of course, a tonne of bug fixes :slight_smile:
