Time after eating is so annoying!

Why not have a heal limit instead of placing timers in between heals? Say like 15/20 heals, then when you rest at whisper you get your 15/20 heals back along with some enemies respawning. I think it would be better than waiting around for enemies to randomly show back up. This way players can constantly engage themselves. Have the option to quickly fast travel to certain whispers if we want so not rely on many shortcuts.

I hope they change the whole healing system, but they have to keep the cooldown, because this is not dark souls estus, so you can make hundreds of potions or food and just rofl stomp every boss.
With a cooldown, food could be healing overtime with buffs, potions would be limited by some sort of inventory upgrades, like we get from the silly ichor drinking mechanic.
You could also have the healing spell runes, we dont have rune cooldowns to be fair and thats breaking the game a little with rune spamming.

Are the developers planning on removing timers? That’s the most frequent complaint I see about this game on the Steam discussion forums. Personally doesn’t bother me a whole lot (slightly inconvenient) but I’m wondering if the devs have any plan to address this at al…

I must be the only one that like the timers, they are not that big of a deal to me, i go about my business and they are done, when the world gets bigger after release you will waste even more time exploring around.

It breaks immersion imo to have those done in an instant, heres the materials and boom instant vendor upgrade, instant melting and sewing or whatever, dont like that, if they take those off i hope they let me keep them in my game at least. Im not competing with anyone anyway, its a single player game.

i think they didnt add a work around because of the coop, maybe they will add something after they figure out what the coop and pvp will be like.

I don’t mind the cooldown it’s realistic. I don’t want the game to be too easy.

it seems like all the complaints I hear about the game are about it being too difficult. But idk. I don’t see it.

Me neither, game is tough at the start, before Worrick, even then you can grind in another realm, after Worrick the towns opens up and thats it, the only hard part for me so far is Echo Knight, annoying bastard has no whisper near to train hehehe.

Maybe don’t be that guy then?

The food system doesn’t work. There is a delay for eating it, a delay for gathering the resources, a delay for it to apply, unnecessary delays for regen foods (whatever the F they have that in the game for…)

If you want to do consumables, do it right. BoTW did it right. (It’s not necessary, but it’s an option as a buff or a heal) That way, when you’re trying to learn the combat system, you have options.
ER did it right. You have pots that you can use to heal and fires you can use to replenish them. What does that mean? More time to enjoy the game, less time wasting…well time.
There is a proven way over doing this and there is no reason to reinvent the wheel, if you already have proven methods available.
