Post here every vein, dig spot and tree that don’t regenerate correctly when the fog of war returns.

Please report with:

  • A screenshot of its place in the world

  • A screenshot from your location on the map

  • A simple one-liner on what map and which area you are in.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. May I ask how long it has been since you last dug up that spot, and if you could provide your datastore folder, as well as your player logs?

Hi Steve, sorry for withholding those files, I have updated my post to include them!

As for the reset of that particulair spot, I cannot remember I ever did it again, However I am nearing 200 hours of playtime so that doesn’t really mean much.

To be absolutely sure, i just now went again there to check and it is still depleted, even though a new refresh of the map has happened. Hope you can figure it out!

Ps: i would not mind if you could set thet post under the correct tag, with whatever you come up with, I just hate to have it shared under xinfo, for lack of better.

This has been happening to me as well, pretty much most of that mountain spawns kind of randomly - sometimes it’s only bottom part, sometimes trees at the top don’t spawn. I always check them after area is fully covered in fog of war, usually while clearing Pestilence in the area but not always. It has happened a few times.

I have surprising news about this. The dig hole itself has refreshed! I have checked almost daily (once every 2 days at the least) so I do not have a timetable when it became available again but from the date of this post it can’t be much.

I do not have an inkling what caused it, I am currently cleaning an outbreak in Nameless Pass, mabye that has had impact?

This forest is an important source of spruce but advancing the story to final part stops it from re-growing. I’m not sure if it is indented or an oversight.

In the previous version of the game, after progressing through the story, the forest stopped appearing.

Considering that we saw a large battering ram for destroying the gate and many wooden buildings, it seems logical that only stumps remained.

Hi,

the silver ore behind the windmill next to the cable car doesn’t seem to respawn.
While all other silver nodes nearby did respawn, this one did not.

Tested and replicated on 3 realms, 1 shared and 2 offline ones.

This ore spot is always depleted.

I’m pretty sure this node hasn’t respawned since finishing the main campaign. It’s probably been 4-5 play hours since then. It’s pretty close to the lumbermill wayshrine.

all of these around the bear cave in marin woods:
fishing spot under the climbable vines

2 spruce trees outside the cave

iron ore inside the cave

3 iron ores + 2 spruce trees in the “secret” section (edit: the leftmost iron ore does respawn)

silver ore + birch tree at the top of the vines exiting the bear cave


I also noted that this cave and surrounding area is a location were the fog of war is permanently lifted, below is a screenshot from a realm that I haven’t played on for close to 2 weeks now but that section of the map and some other on the west side are clear, and there are many other spots like this notably in nameless pass, which are consistent between different realms


after checking, all the resource nodes that are located in these permanently cleared spots or close to them, do not respawn
there are 2 nodes in weeping sister that pretty much overlap with one of those spots:
atop the vines at the north exit

inside, hidden room going under a stone face


and one near the lumber mill whisper in lowlands meadows


west side of marin woods in the village cave:
hidden spot after you start dropping down the cave


at the bottom of the cave in the hidden room on the left (and possibly the fishing node just outside that room)

middle level of the cave after jumping from the branch jutting out of the wall covered in vines


this tree next to the jumpscare garden in nameless pass

So as mentioned in the topic, the bug is that some mines and trees (and maybe one bear) do not respawn in few locations in Marin-Woods. At all. Since the moment they had been mined for the first time. Near the places where bears appear, for some reason.

Not a big deal, but maybe this connected to the pestilence outbreak appearing problem? I have this problem in the current realm too, and I already voted for the corresponding topic. Also, enemy sets in endgame locations are not updated, although they must, as I recall.

I have noticed a few spots that don’t replenish, and have been considering doing a detailed sweep to find them all. As I gradually uncover the locations, I will post them here.

Two fishing spots in The Shallows that never replenish.

This mining node was already mentioned, but the fishing spot directly below it.

I will have to make a new realm where I never fish just to cross reference other fishing holes, but as I notice more I’ll edit with more pictures. I’ll also try to avoid reposting spots other people have already found, although it seems I’m the first to notice the missing fish.

Chests don’t replenish in urban area’s! That is currently Sacrament and Marin’s Village.
