while doing a quest given by captain Randolph gives a quest to the black trench, yet some mobs are actually stuck in the ground/terrain or end up beneath it.

Same here, but without the quest. For me, this is only happening to the Risen wearing Red armor. And, also happens in Mariner’s Keep.
