Talking about PvP ideas

I know I’m not a game designer and i’m sure that what i’m about to talk about will have challenges to implement and balancing problems, but as a player i have some ideas of what i think is a fun PvP system. i believe that if your going to do PvP in 1.0 you should really make the games PVP as the focus, like something separate from the campaign like is own (game mode) with is own goals around PVP, making the full map accessible (assuming the map is going to be much more bigger on release) with no campaign but city factions, Risen faction and kings-guard faction, with there own focuses and a leader bored to climb up though.

-game play-
players first join in a game will be put on the beach with a set of basic gear (you could make it where you pick throe stating gear based on classes specific loadouts), for balance you can set up a bunch of starting zones where no players are in and has a “forbid PVP zone” like a place you can only leave the area but not go back into it. also the only fast travel is between city’s or Risen camps.

Your goal is to get stronger, survive and obtain “Fame” (cant think of a better word but the name dose not matter) and have a leader bored that shows your fame with all players and the factions as sub-leader bored. ( i’m thinking each City with in the world, then the Resin who have many camps in strategic locations on the map and the kings-guard one location on the map.)

“ways to get Fame with in the world and factions”

  • Completing City quests (exclusive to the city and in their area on the map)
    (you could use Fame as a needed way to be allowed to by homes and upgrade your shops inventory based off your fame)
  • Be wanted by becoming a slayer for the resin and doing there requests. -slayer player tag by there name-
    (become a Ally of the Risen and have access to their exclusive traders and fast travel system to other camps you’ve been too beads on your fame)
    (however you can’t enter Citys or do there quests)
    (defending risen camps from kings-guard raid)
  • Helping the kings-guard by contributing resources for there new keep or hunting down wanted slayers.
    (raid risen camps)
    (you can tack request to hunt down wanted players)
    (wonted players can pay golden here in order to remove their wonted states)(but you’re no longer affiliated with the resin)
  • Killing another player.
    (Cerim’s killing a slayer will give fame and vice verse)
    Challenging players in an arena fight with in the kings-guard keep
    killing area bosses.

(ect, there are really many ways you could go about doing it but i feel that a open world pvp game where you could ether help one another or fight one another would be a more interesting and fun approach)

the main inspiration for these ideas was “V rising” and Sea of Thieves, i never really liked the way Diablo did their PVP areas and the reward system they made was so lackluster, thought perhaps this is not a solution to this is just an idea, servers can be solo or team base but I’m not sure how you could even put all of this together in the first place for 1.0, but for balancing new to older players on server would be the deciding factor, like maybe when higher level players hits a the lower level player the lower level player gets a buff based of the players differences in level or dedicating areas within cities and their zones to level and having players of higher level be unable to PvP in that area and only to the ones with similar ones. I’m not too sure about it. xD

i also though of doing something similar to like The Crucible but instead, is a player match agents other players in pool like having 4 matches between 4 teams then eliminate the two teams that have the lower score and do a finale match with the last two teams. (this would be a lot of fun if you can balance the team based of level)

but I’m just spitting ideas, if anyone did read this then what do you wont out of PvP, and what ARPG and/or souls like do you think has some Steller PvP.
