Hi, I’d like to share a few suggestions and observations based on my experience with the game:
- Wand Aiming Mechanic (e.g. Fire Wall Rune)
When using a wand with directional spells like the Fire Wall, I suggest adding an aiming system:
-
Hold the rune button, then move the mouse to aim the direction of the spell (e.g. rotate the flame wall preview).
-
For controller users, you could rotate the direction using the right stick or a dedicated directional ring, allowing full 360° control.
-
Once you’ve aimed, release the button to cast the spell in that direction.
-
Alternatively, if you don’t want to spend time aiming, you can simply press the rune button and the spell will cast instantly in your current facing direction, just like it works now.
- Passive Weight Malus from Weapons
I’ve noticed that some passive effects like weight reduction penalties stack even from unequipped weapons, as long as they’re in your weapon slots. This might be intentional or not, but it’s confusing, since one would expect only the currently wielded weapon’s passives to be active.
- Auto-Targeting System Issue
The auto-targeting system can sometimes cause problems in combat, especially:
- When fighting multiple enemies
- Or in dangerous terrain (e.g. near cliffs)
If you move away from an enemy, the system may switch targets unexpectedly, causing your character to turn in an unwanted direction. This can lead to misdirected attacks or even falling off a ledge.
My suggestion is not to remove auto-targeting, but to give players the option to disable it. This would allow for manual target switching or purely directional attacks, giving players more control over their actions.
Thanks for considering these points I’m really enjoying the game and appreciate the attention to detail you’ve put into it!
