managed to get in it by using the geometry of the cave to slow down my fall.
also, is there a suicide button ? tried to reload and I’m still in the pit 
Upvote, it just happened (in the exact same spot within the Ionia Caverns) to me right now and I can’t “respawn” unless I end my game… which takes decades to reboot.
The reason it happened to me was because a chest appeared on a ledge below the vines, so I dropped intentionally and nowhere else to go but farther down.
So I reached the bottom in that exact location and nothing to do but… reboot the game. Womp womp.
Please advise.
