When using the Steam overlay to chat with friends etc, whenever I type on the keyboard this feedback is sent to the game in the background.
This leads to unintended entering of menus, equipping/unequipping of gear etc.
Please look into detaching the game input from input in the Steam overlay.
Turn off Steam Overlay. They should definitely look at it, but everyone knows the Steam Overlay causes issues. I never leave mine on.
That’s not a solution. I use it to chat with friends while playing, access the discussions etc.
Most of the time don’t have any issues

Yeah, you are right. I’m sure they will get it addressed.
I didn’t realize people actually use it. The last thing I want while engrossed in a game is to get bothered by anyone.
