Spilled Blood quest bugged

While I was going through the quest Spilled Blood, the did not mark a previous step in the quest as completed and now the quest won’t move forward.

The step “roan has asked us to venture…” is not set to completed (white), while the next one “we should continue to hunt…” is marked as completed - can’t add screenshot unfortunately

Now when i go to Raon (although in the map it appears as an exclamation mark), nothing appears on his head and nothing happens when talking to him

So basically - it’s stuck.

Alright, it’s not a huge set-back since we cannot complete Spilled Blood actually in the current state of the game.

Do you need Roan still for Spoken and Unspoken?

For Spoken and Unspoken I still have to complete other things so at the moment i dont need Roan (as far as i know). The only problem right now is that (unless i’m missing something) there is no other “main quest” to follow therefore i’m stuck in “what to do next” :slight_smile:

This bug can be reproduced straightforwardly:

If you speak with the Watcher first after seeing the state of Caylen, the quest stages will proceed as intended. If, instead, you clear the pestilence which spawns in the Shallows, and only afterwards go to the Watcher, the penultimate quest step is highlighted.

There are no adverse effects to this that I could find.

I have the same issue. The Spilled Blood quest stuck at “bring it back to Watcher” step, even though I have turned in 4-5 Plague Ichors. Hoping for a quicker fix

If you’re still turning in ichors, you’re at an earlier, temporary quest step and not stuck, no worries. Later you’ll be asked to turn in certain other materials.

In terms of progression, no one is truly stuck on this quest. The bug just displays the wrong of two steps (later than yours, presumably) as unfinished, but that’s cosmetic. The quest just isn’t finished at this time in EA.
