after nosing around the forums a bit there are several threads where the OP has gone silent, presumably the advice given to them for troubleshooting has met their demand.
without necro bumping forum posts a [SOLVED] tag could be implemented to mark next to thread titles indicating a solution has been found, this can visually help others seeking troubleshooting advice specifically wade through the sea of garbly-gook
Users can already mark messages as solutions. This will be indicated by a green check mark, like in the image below. I can see it being made even more clear by using a [Solved] tag though. Tags like that, [UserImposed] and [Combined] which you might have already seen aren’t a feature of the forum. They are just added by editing the post title.

On top of what sBAM said, if a topic is closed that usually is a sign that the issue at hand can’t be reproduced anymore or has been patched, those will be marked with [Patched]

what sparked this thought was reading a thread you were helping someone who seemed agitated about the game speeds had turned out to have his files installed on a HHD and then died after recommendations to migrate to SSD
