What this is trying to solve : This is an idea to make enchanting weapons more involved and satisfying, by reducing a bit of randomness. This would keep the current enchantments/affix system as close as what it currently is in the breach update.
The fix:
First, we would have 2 tier of enchantments.
- Normal quality : Affix with restriction (ex : +10% stamina, at low health)
- Higher quality : Affix without restriction (ex : +10% stamina)
Then, with that, Fallen ember now have a better utility
- Fallen Ember to be used to remove or change a restriction on a normal quality affix at a balanced cost.
- Fallen Ember to be used to re-roll either the affix, or the value on the affix at a balanced cost. (for example you obtain an affix with +10% Stamina. You can either reroll the affix or the +10% value).
Additional details :
- adjust drop rate of fallen ember.
- Give the player the table of possible affix, values and restrictions in-game on the push of a button when using fallen ember.
