I really like how the Offhand Use function worked. I usually default to utility runes for the quick access to heals and buffs. During combat I sometimes utilize the Offhand Use to access the offhand runes quickly without having to worry about going back to my utility runes. I also liked that using Offhand Use I can get to my mainhand runes when using two handed or dual wield weapons.
Onto the suggestion/request. Can you guys rework how the runes are accessed?
I’m thinking that since offhand runes can be accessed by Offhand Use. It feels redundant to have it part of the Toggle Runes cycle. It feels like it’d be better to change the Toggle Runes function to a “Mainhand Rune Switch”, something similar to the Offhand Rune Switch function in Offhand Use. Afterwards you guys could make the Utility Runes the default selection, which would be optimal since it has the heals.
I hope this was understandable, thanks for reading.
There are only two options to switch runes from what I can see. Toggle Runes which cycles between mainhand, offhand, and utility runes. Offhand Use which also has a function to switch to the offhand runes when holding down the key/button. I don’t think we have any options to switch to either utility or mainhand runes specifically.
There are shortcut keys in the three rune columns. Please take a closer look at the settings. I dare to assure you that there must be keys that can quickly use the main hand and practical runes, just like you said about using offhand runes.
Are you a keyboard player or a controller player?
According to your description, you should be a keyboard player.I guess.
If it is a keyboard, there is a permanent rune bar. Just press 1/2/3/4 to use runes, and the other two need to use shortcut keys and 1/2/3/4.
I don t use the “Toggle Runes” you see at the bottom at all. Mainhand runes will always be in foreground, off-hand use (holding) will go to that bar, and Utility will change to your utility runes (that are slotable by Eleanor).
