The following are some bugs I encountered over the last 36 hours I recently played (this is all since the last major update).
System: Steam Deck OLED. Playing in Game Mode. Connected to a 1920x1080 TV through the official Steam Deck Dock. Using an external controller that is connected to the Steam Deck’s Dock via its wireless connector. I also have a keyboard and mouse connected to assist, if necessary. Unfortunately, I don’t have screenshots because my Steam Deck wasn’t giving me them when using the shortcut (this is not related to the game).
- Maximum available resolution is 1920x800. I have tried many commands, to not avail. This was not an issue previously. This also happens in Desktop Mode. The resolution in the Steam settings is set to 1920x1080.
- When attempting to evoke a Whisper, it sometimes gives me a soft lock. I cannot select items with the controller or leave. I can navigate to different item tabs, but that’s it. I have to exit the game via the Steam menu. I am able to manually select items with an attached mouse, but cannot do anything with them. The attached keyboard also doesn’t help. This has happened 4-5 times in these hours.
- Every so often, the game will fully crash and close. This happened in Sanctuary while going towards the Nameless Pass exit and another time when loading from a Whisper, after selecting the location to move to. I notice the audio starts stuttering before these crashes.
- At one time, on the lower right side of the screen, I saw some text that said something about a missing controller button or something..
- Massive slow-downs and stutters on the Steam Deck at the lowest possible settings at 1280x720. Using all forms of upscaling (TAA and FSR), including dynamic all the way down to 20%. It is sometimes stable 30+, but other times there are pauses or heavy stutters that are very obvious and last several seconds. Lightning and fire spells cause a lot of slowdown. The biggest drops are int he Lowlands and Marlin Woods.
- Sometimes people lose their clothes in Sanctuary. They’ll have undergarments, it appears, but their clothing will take some time to appear. I notice this on a few people up and around the Rookery and the open area nearby.
- Sometimes I cannot use a chest or my bed, despite it giving me the option to press Y to use it. There is enough room to stand in front or beside it.
- There were a few times, when navigating items, that I could see the selection border around an item. or select the item. This was always fixed by closing and reopening the item screen. This is not related to there being an invalid item that it is skipping.
There may be a few others, but I cannot recall them at this time. The game just crashed on me, so I wanted to post this before sleep. By the way, there is no dxdiag on Linux that I am aware of, so I am not sure how I can post that. Sorry, I don’t have all the other requested files, but I wanted to get this out before falling asleep.
