Question on gold items

Now, NRFTW has some obvious tutorial problems that Mahler is trying to address, however I am playing a foreign language version of the game and I dont understand what the gold items do. Can someone help me understand? For example I dropped the golden two handed sword from the first boss in act I. In its abilities it has one that (i think its in red but honestly now i dont remeber) that should be specific to that sword, however I dont understand it. There is no explanation, it talks about ‘stacking’ something. Can someone explain what this is all about. I am guessing that also other gold items have specific abilities but if they are explained like this one its tough for a player to make a choice. Is this particular ability only for that type of weapon or gold drops can all have the chance to have the same ‘powerful affix’ that i dont understand.
Second point, I’ve been playing over 40 hrs from the last patch and i managed to drop only 2 gold items. Now two things if these items are so rare they should be hugely OP and gamechangers, if thats the case the explanation of what the actually do should be much more detailed because in my foreign language version i dont really understand their utility.

Hope that someone can explain this to me.

i think this is a common “misconception”, that comes from other loot drops we know from other games. in most games gold items are “legendaries” which are often indeed stronger because of their rarity. i think a while back thomas said something that those yellow items are not like “legendaries”, more like unique items.. so i would say unique =/= legendary.

as for your other questions, i do not really know how enchantment rolls on those weapons work. someone else posted here: Possible bug with Golden Rewards and Enchantment Rerolls? - #3 by Schweinebacke
that enchantments are rolled in groups, so some groups of enchantment affixes have a higher probability than others. but i can’t say for certain how exactly the numbers are here.

It would be good to know which specific weapon you are refering to. E.g. look it up on the 'net and paste it here. If it is the corpse smeared blade, that is a bit special and covered in the patchnotes:

Corpse Smeared Blade

As @Chemile0n pointed out, these are not really legendaries. A full playthrough to a pretty maxed out build can be done in about two weeks, in that time quite a few golden items have dropped. Considering that, NRFTW has a pretty awesome playerfriendly QoL. If you are looking for a true gamechanger, max out your build. That is really changing the game
It is awesome that this is handled this way. Consider the other extreme: A WoW legendary like Thunderfury took 6 months reallife for base drops and another 3 month farming and grinding. It was gamechanging, then nerfed because it was too gamechanging and then outdamaged by items from the following season.

As a slight aside to this, I would argue most uniques are massively underwhelming, the only one worth using for myself so far is Falsteads Sword because it has a double damage roll, something you cant get on other weapons.

I think as a bare minimum they all need 4 affixes, some have 2 which is just pathetic.
