QoL and Stronger Gameplay

Fantastic game and fun thus far. However, there are some QoL things that are really needed.

  • Display Overall durability of gear on UI, or a tooltip. Seeing as there are enchants that rely on durability levels, it seems like a fair expectation.
  • As a PC player, having hotkeys for specific consumables makes sense. Also, maybe have consumables last longer. The 60 second category often falls off on longer boss fights and scrolling between those and bombs seems tedious and unforgiving.
  • Better tooltips for runes with mouseover features is typical, again, for PC based players. Console based interface and control interaction leaves PC gamers with a “different” experience.
  • Directional controls and item or environment interaction is clunky. i.e, having to stand in a specific spot to interact with a chest or loot, with a built in delay to perform actions doesn’t feel very good. Some things really feel as though they are coded for console controllers, which is a bit unforgiving for mouse and keyboard interface, just my opinion.
  • Targeting, which I know there are many posts on this, but I’ll throw it in here as well, feels unfinished and difficult to control leading to mistakes and a slower, less fluid, less responsive play experience.
  • Rune tooltips in the tab menu might do better to show actual values, not just durations. “restore your health and increase your maximum health” doesn’t tell us anything.
  • 2H weapons and their animations are far too slow and unforgiving, in my opinion. It is a different play style for sure, but feels very punishing and RnG based management to accurately and quickly anticipate and respond in combat. Seems rather counter intuitive based on my historical gaming experiences.
  • It would be nice to have stats over time out of combat naturally regen, health, focus, etc, so as not to have to rely soley on consumables. Why is focus only generated when interacting with the environment?
  • Separate window pop up for gear comparison. equipped next to cursor marked item(s) in separate windows, in lieu of just showing red or green arrows for 3 base attributes on cursored item(s).
  • Is it just me, or do the projectiles from the NPCs all have homing values on them? I get hit by some crazy curve ball type objects that appear to change their direction in the air.
  • Lastly, being locked in an action, say fishing and getting attacked. Why can’t we disengage from an action to switch to combat quickly? There are a lot of cases where interacting with the environment causes a lack of responsiveness within the game to have a fluid flow and experience. Not sure if that makes sense.

Thank you for your time, consideration and efforts to date. Please listen to the community and give us your best.

all very valid points and i strongly agree with KB&M and UI stuff and being too determined to catch fish to fight for your life.

however i will argue that:

  • 2handers are possibly strongest weapons - if you lean fully into it, rely on their stagger, range, massive damage and CC runes, they are extremely strong, despite being slow. get X on stagger enchantments are king. you can even stagger Cyvion for humility
  • you can already slot gems in to regen HP and focus, also the HP on kill, focus on fatality, hp on parry, focus on parry, focus on block are all very strong - have you checked those out ? the focus passive regen on gems doesn’t seem like much but is enough to top you up between fights and get those massive nukes ready

other than that i’m almost fully with you.

With a certain attack speed and movement speed build you can speed up most 2H weapon animations but that also means you sacrifice alot of DMG for this kind of build

Unless you are talking about specific Unique/Yellow 2H Weapons, then the speed builds falls a bit short here.

You will probably have to name those specific enemies?

Some Giant enemies have a slight homing on their throws and those can curve downwards, when thrown they are sure to hit you where you currently stand unless you move to the side or back/forward when the projectile is in the air.

because of how i said they can curve downwards your safest bet is to step left or right.

With everything else i mostly agree to some extent
