If i can’t kill boss will pestilence go away?
No but you can clear it on floor 5 of the crucible with the crucible currency if you can’t defeat the pestilence boss.

I’m not sure about this but I tried to kill a boss about ten times without success and the plague disappeared..I have no idea if it’s a bug or if you have a limited number of attempts
