There are instances in game where attacks, both parryable and otherwise, when parried neither register as a parry nor damage the player as they should if you were to miss a parry or parry an attack that is not parryable. These usually occur with attacks that seemingly have an arch (parabolic) hit box where I assume the distance at which a hit registered is dependent on player positioning.
In the first clip, the shield slap/bash is not a parryable. If you parry it at the correct frame, you will evade damage but you won’t get the bonuses from parrying.
In the second clip, it’s very similar to the first, except that attack is completely parryable. If I had missed it, I should have received damage, but again, I neither received damage nor got a parry.
