I’m loving the combat depth in No Rest for the Wicked, but I have a Quality of Life suggestion for Keyboard and Mouse players regarding Focus Skills.
Currently, Focus abilities are cast in the direction the character is facing. In fast-paced encounters, this can feel a bit clunky, as you often have to reposition the character’s body before the skill goes where you actually want it to hit.
The Suggestion: Add a toggle in the settings to “Cast at Cursor”. This would allow skills to be fired directly towards the mouse pointer position, making the gameplay much more fluid and precise for KBM users.
I believe this would be a great accessibility and control improvement. Would love to hear your thoughts!
Would be great to test it at least. Could be more intuitive.
Of course the characterdirection should be locked if still in attack-animation.
But if only repositioning. It would be great.
I agree, I love the potential this game has but the way targeting works in the game for kbm desperately needs love. It would greatly benefit kbm features like a ‘toggled’ menu setting that lets you to target or switch targets based on where the mouse is as you attack or cast.
I play coop and we both use kbm in fights and find using T to manually switch between enemies is too clunky meanwhile the auto target sometimes aims wildly different from intended eg a close enemy we can’t see or have line of sight with has preference over an enemy that is engaging directly with you (about to do a closing gap attack and is one you can see in range).
