No Rest for the Wicked News - The Breach Teaser

yes, on April 30th.

Oh holly Havens. How can I get super early access for super software QA engineers with gaming experience back on Atari 2600?

Not sure if this was already answered somewhere: in the trailer it says that we will have to restart the adventure from scratch to play the new content.
I don’t particularly mind, but I’m wondering if this is something that may happen again with future updates or if it’s a one-off. If it turns out that every other major update I need to restart the game I’ll probably just wait until the game is feature-complete to restart the run…

thomas just recently took the time to answer the communities most frequently asked questions. you can real all here: Answering some Frequently Asked Questions!

as a short answer: no, not with every update. they will try to avoid it, but it might or might not be necessary again at some point.

so obviously they cannot promise to never do this again, but i trust it will only happen when unavoidable like with the breach, where whole systems like the enchantments, loot drops etc. get reworked.

Let me tell you a story to make the wait sweeter. Once upon a time, a friend gave me a PS1 to play. I experienced a magical feeling of “here it is in my hands, finally I will play”. Years later, this feeling was repeated and it seemed to transport me back to my childhood, when “Dishonored” was released. I believe that this magical feeling will visit me again with the release of the update of this Great Game of the Century!
