The only reward you can find in the hidden path now is learning the location of one more randomly dropped box.
In my opinion, to stimulate a sense of adventure, you need fixed rewards, such as your character becoming stronger(or, it could make the game more convenient to play) if you collect a lot throughout the game.
Of course, these contents may lose their value through information sharing, but I think they can still be sufficient stimulation for users who want to play without looking at the strategy.
Also, if the reward is essential and too much, it can actually become an irritating factor.
However, what is certain is that we need something that will stimulate our sense of adventure even more than now.
