The mottled jewel and chipped jewel give you 30% or 40% additional enchantment power when at full focus. If you’re at full focus and then use a rune attack which uses focus, does that attack benefit from the jewel because prior to the rune attack being launched, you were at full focus? Or alternatively, does it not benefit from the jewel, because at the moment the attack lands, focus has been used up?
I could see the internal logic for either way, so it isn’t clear how this works.

Good question! I was curious too so I just tested it, seems that the focus loss occurs first so you don’t get any benefit from the gem on that rune attack.
Here is my testing using a weapon that has +12% Damage on it.
Top left: Normal attack, no gem = 177 damage
Top right: Normal attack, +40% at full focus gem = 185 damage (showing the gem is affecting it)
Bottom left: Rune attack, no gem = 591 damage
Bottom right: Rune attack, +40% at full focus gem = 591 damage (no change)
I couldn’t find a weapon in my horde of items with + Rune Damage % but as far as I know the normal +Damage % (not Attack Damage %) should also affect Rune attacks so the test should be valid, but someone please correct me if I’m wrong.

I confirm, the full focus gem only work at full focus with normal attack or rune attack with a ring with hp use instead of focus.
