Lost My Weapon: Any tip?

It’s game over for me. I used something I thought was cool and hit the button a bit too fast. I lost my weapon!! I actually think that it was hilarious and my own dumb fault — but also so incredibly frustrating.
Guess I’ll have to start a new character or farm for a new weapon in the starting area.

Does anyone have any other tip for me on what to do? I have already put attributes points on strength/dex. stats. Can the developers give me back my sword.

Is it possible respec my strength attributes into dex?

Yes. It can be unlocked on the 5th floor of the Crucible at the Seneschal. You can then respec 10 points for one ember at the statue near the whisper in the Atrium.
