Jesus, remove this bunch of requirements for bug/suggestion topic creation

What is the goal here? Make it harder for people to point out improvements?
I recorded a video, put in a suggestion post and it is asking for player.log? datastore folder?
blood type? SSN?

Change the validation from an AND and make it an OR.

The post needs to have and image OR a video OR a player.log OR the datastore folder.

I spent a long time preparing the post, cliping a video, writing it, to be frustrated with a validation that wont let me post.

Oh, would you look at that! For SITE FEED BACK you are asking for all this crap. Damn, don’t push these changes without taking in the community experience into account. We are here putting time in to improve the game out of love, we deserve more respect torwards our time.

These requirements are there, so that all relevant information to investigate an issue is given. the most efficient way of investigating an issue, is to look at all the relevant data that might or might not be why how or what exactly happened.

this being said, if you can’t submit a bug report it is in 99% of cases a browser issue. we receive countless bug reports without screenshots, links etc.

to then investigate, we have to ask for the relevant information after the post is made.

so if you can’t submit a post, try a different browser and/or clearing browser cookies, cache etc. so far this has helped people who faced this issue.

I can tell you that in this case, this is a 100% code for the forum issue. I am using a mainstream browser with no custom extensions or anything that would change the state of the pages I visit.

And I know it does help to put as much information as possible, but that is not the point!
Why do you need datastore folder, player log files and all that for this website feedback?

Anyway, looks like I can post topics again.

well, i am not here to argue, but since we do receive a lot of feedback, bug reports and other topics, i would assume that in all those cases it was indeed possible to create a post  if there really was an issue with the forum, we would not receive any of those posts

glad you can post stuff again tho!

Thank you!

It is probably a transient issue then. I must have interacted in a way with the pages that evoked this behavior. I will let you know if I can find steps to reproduce it.

yeah every now and then people contact us moderators, saying they can’t create topics. usually it helps to do all the browser things: clear cache, use different browsers etc.

sometimes the internet is just like black magic i assume lol
