Is it fun? Does it make sense?

Question I ask myself when hearing about the new attribute system, classes and farming.

Attributes:
As they are now, they are not overly complicate, if that at all.
But the wording and gating can be a bit confusing.

It is overinflated with attributes which does the same, but serve as “keys”.

Str = dmg and unlocking usage of strength weapons

Dex = dmg and unlocking usage of dexterity weapons

Faith = nope, not focus or mana, but dmg and unlocking faith weapon

Intelligence = nope not mana or focus but dmg and unlocking yeah magelike weapons

Some weapons req. More keys.

The we got:

Health = health, could easily be connected to strenght.

Equipment load = selfexplainatory, and yeah strength?

Focus = selfexplanatory but why not connected to faith or/and intelligence?

Stamina = for more stamina, normally linked to dexterity.

So attributes are inflated, but not overly complicated, innovative, fun, and in my opinion does not make sense.

So I hope that the newer system rrally make you think about that to take and having consequences like losing defence for offence, or QoL such as more equipment load vs more defence or offence.

Then we got classes. My question is, why?

So late into the early access, why should we suddenly be interested in classes?

And does it make sense?

And is it fun?

What does a class bring to the table?

And which restrictions does it have?

And are future potentiale restriction fun, compared to current classless system, where you make your own class?

Then there is talk of farming, we already got a rather dull implementation of fishing. Hey a “fishing”-node, press a key, wait and press again
.
I think that is ofc the best and most lazy solution, if fishing is just there to have dishes with fish in it, but it might as well just had been a fishvendor, it brings next to zero fun or gameplay into the game, and does not make sense.

That is what I could fear for farming… just a gimmick, something to through together in a pinch and call it a day.

So now you got a farming node which you probably has to tend to, and the farm. A small gimmick, but hopefully it is fun and makes sense to invest in.

Talking about investing. When we need to invest ressources and wait x hours for building to complete… we could at least see the workers go back and forth, and using tools to build, humming etc, and have the vendors complain about the workers being lazy, and how noisy and messy they are.

That would add a layer of sense, and be rsther fun to see.

And also I am fine with the times, but could they be reflected in ingame days, knstead of real life time, it just feels 4th wall breaking, to have such timer, when the game got its own time system.

But yeah bough the game and two extra copies, I enjoy it, even though I might come out like I am not having fun.

And no matter which way you go, the game is still fun at its baseline, and such a beauty to behold.

Keep up the good work
