Anyone know if gems can be extracted?
Definitely not able to (yet?).
Put an option in the enchanter where we can extract the jewels that we place in the equipment for a number of bronze coins.
And we can’t forget to put a description on the jewelry when it’s in the inventory, so we know what the advantage the jewelry gives when equipped!
Would be nice to be able to remove gems, even if the gems are destroyed in the process.
I added a cold damage gem to a weapon that already had lightning damage, and I’m pretty sure it did nothing? I definitely don’t see any additional blue damage numbers popping up when I turn them on. I was going to see if I could pull the gem out and do some testing to see what did and didn’t work, but seems like they’re permanent. Unless I’m missing a town upgrade that enables it?
I would like to suggest having gems and runes removable from the weapon, it’s alright for the rune/gems to break just like in Diablo but not being able to swap them to new ones is a bad game design and ultimately will hurt the value of the game. We don’t want to destroy our hard earned weapon that we upgraded so much just cause we want to try some new Skills and gems in it. Please fix this… i’m sure most people will agree this is a poorly designed mechanic.
both aint good imo, if you give the option to put and take away runes without penalty it would increase game character customization for combat a lot more
penalty is - destruction runes or gems.
It’s fair. I put a stone on electricity, it gave me only 5%, but can 20%. All? A weapon to be thrown away? And I invested heavily in it
It would be geeat if we e can destroy a rune or gem in an item and replace it with a new one.
Destroy the jewelry on your rig and update it so that you can install new jewelry. Perfect optional equipment is hard to come by. Calculating the number of cases to the option probability of jewelry in addition to the probability of obtaining these perfect equipment makes it a very bad probability. Therefore, I would appreciate it if you could keep updating the jewelry installation to make it challenging. Instead, if the existing jewelry was destroyed, some equity would be right.
Please allow me to continue my jewelry work on my hard-won equipment. Existing jewelry can be broken
I desperately need it
Can we please get the option to at least remove/ replace gems? Let the one being replaced be destroyed. But being able to remove/ replace gems would be a huge QOL
not only gems but runes as well. im up for the replace rather than remove
I don’t think we should be able to remove them, you’d basically only have to find one set of gems then.
I do think you should be able to replace them by destroying a current socketed gem so you could socket something else.
As @mindlesspuppet mentioned a straight-up extraction would make finding gems redundant after 1 set. What if it was a paid service (even something like 2-5 silver), but then the gem also had a chance to break?
If/when there are higher tiers of gems, there could be a chance they either degrade a tier or completely break as well.
There needs to be a system that uses lower level gems and improves them, so they don’t become completely obsolete with the removal system
You just make them become destroyed upon removal. Then they don’t become redundant. Idc if I lose them gem. I just want to be able to replace it
I think in a case like this there could be transmutation available. It would depend completely on rates and rarities, but perhaps something like 3-5 gems + a fee to do so?
I agree. Otherwise we have to copy the equipment. It’s not we wanted to, simply because we have to.
The game after storyline would be based on equipment/skill build. Thus the equipment should be very important and we need to pay a lot of attention on it.
I’m not trying to get an exactly diablo-like game, but due to the equipment drop rate and equipment system now, we can only buy massive amount of shop items, then select for a better one to upgrade, enchant or put a jewllery in it.
makes total sense. Just need to pay up.
