Would you make it possible to exchange rune’s place on weapons? Now I need to acquire a few more (probably same) weapons to achieve, which is inconvenient. I came across this problem when I tried to set all my wands and staffs’ RB+X button as a stamina skill, which I’m more used to.
Besides, I think it will be more convenient if I can see a rune’s (on weapon) info , including descriptions, stamina or focus cost, in my bag directly rather than go to the shop.
Yes. You have two options:
- Destroy Rune - Clears the rune slot so you can put something else there. But you lose the rune.
- Extract Rune - Save the rune, so you can use it for another item. But destroys the gear it is currently slotted in.
You can do either of these at the Rune vendor, Eleanor.
I know I can do in this way, so I call it inconvenient. If I want to set fireball as my staff’s rune on RB+X button, I need to destroy the rune first. After that I also need to find a same staff to extract the rune I destroyed. Doesn’t it look unnecessary?
If you need to extract that, you can buy the Gnarled Staff which has Fireball on it from the vendor for 1 Silver and 57 Copper.
But if you just meant it as an example, I get what you mean. Swapping slot locations of the runes is a little bit of a hassle yes.
That’s what I meant. It will be great that rune can be place any slot freely.

Yeah it would be great if we could move them around, I was used to have a rune on square, but on a new weapon it’s now slotted into circle. Really wanted it on square again, but then I would have to destroy a rune I really just wanted to move to another spot on the same weapon
