Can you tell me how recovery works in combat? I have 2 items with a life recovery stone in battle, but when I put on 1 life depletion ring, life depletes very quickly. But even if you remove this ring, the recovery is very small, almost imperceptible. Is this how it should be? It looks useless. Or do I still need to collect stones for the effectiveness of recovery? Then why is exhaustion so powerful?
The same thing happens with concentration recovery, if there is a concentration depletion stat on things, I insert a stone for recovery, and even additional perks are for efficiency, and still the negative perk interrupts everything and the concentration runs out.
Life Recovery basically works like the Rally mechanic in Bloodborne. When you take a hit in combat you can recover a percentage of the health you lost, by dealing damage to enemies. It shows up as an orange glow on the end of your health bar.
What might be happening in your case is that the damage you are taking passively from life depletion may be triggering the life recovery. But because the damage ticks you take from it are so small, and life recovery only lets you recover a small percentage of damage you take, maybe you are only able to ‘recover’ a fraction of a hit point?
I do know that one of the recent hotfixes gave buff to life recovery percentage values, but yeah if it is triggered by self-damage, it’s going to be useless.
