Help me understand something. When 1.0 comes out, will it be the release of the game? And if so, will it be a full-fledged game with a solid story or will we be given content and plot in doses? Like any MMO, where with each update there is a continuation of the story and new activities? Or is 1.0 not a release of the game?
1.0 is considered as final release, with all of the story finished then. until then we will receive more updates, there will be changes according to bug reports and suggestions, and we will get coop and a combat update before 1.0 release.
thomas also mentioned, that all early access players will receive everything up to 1.0 and 1.0 for free (your EA version is then a full game). after that we can expect more content updates with DLCs.

I was just told that there would be 2.0, 3.0, where we might leave the island and go to the continent. It confused me.

i think whereever u heard that, thst means the content update DLCs that will follow after 1.0
so basically like most games nowadays, u get a full game with 1.0 with full and completed story, and in the future story and content updates will be coming as addons.
u can perfectly enjoy 1.0 main game. everything else will be considered additional content

thomas also said that there would be no more rune spam and that the studio could close in two months… I mean between writing bullshit and not writing anything it’s definitely better not to write anything

Wow, Leonardo Costantini is the new game director?! You speak as if you know more about the game and the state of the studio than Thomas does.
1.0 will be a full game, but there will be paid expansions in the future if the game sells well enough.

so you think that if someone is a game director they automatically know how to play the game better than the players? I simply reported what he said and which proved to be false.. here they were asked for information on the future of the game when a week ago they were about to close.. evidently it’s not me who knows more than anyone but someone else.. maybe you?

also 1.0 is per definition full release of main game, not matter if wicked, battlefield, fifa or polly pocket. so we answered these questions directly, as u could also ask wikipedia what 1.0 of a game means.
