Can we please get the option to at least remove/ replace gems? Let the one being replaced be destroyed. But being able to remove/ replace gems would be a huge QOL

I don’t think we should be able to remove them, you’d basically only have to find one set of gems then.
I do think you should be able to replace them by destroying a current socketed gem so you could socket something else.
As @mindlesspuppet mentioned a straight-up extraction would make finding gems redundant after 1 set. What if it was a paid service (even something like 2-5 silver), but then the gem also had a chance to break?
If/when there are higher tiers of gems, there could be a chance they either degrade a tier or completely break as well.

There needs to be a system that uses lower level gems and improves them, so they don’t become completely obsolete with the removal system
You just make them become destroyed upon removal. Then they don’t become redundant. Idc if I lose them gem. I just want to be able to replace it
I think in a case like this there could be transmutation available. It would depend completely on rates and rarities, but perhaps something like 3-5 gems + a fee to do so?
