Gem not functioning // Blood stone

Hi guys,
The Blood Stone gem appears to be functioning incorrectly. The lifesteal effect does not match the value stated in the gem description.

The gem states 10% Lifesteal, so dealing 200 damage should restore approximately 20 HP per hit.

When dealing around 200 damage, the character only restores about 2–3 HP, which is significantly lower than expected.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Equip a weapon with the Blood Stone gem.

  2. Attack enemies dealing approximately 200 damage per hit.

  3. Observe the amount of HP restored after each hit.

Healing received is roughly 2–3 HP instead of the expected ~20 HP.

  • Issue occurs consistently across multiple enemies.

  • Tested without other lifesteal modifiers active.

  • Damage numbers appear correct; only lifesteal calculation seems incorrect.

Possible Issue:
Lifesteal may be calculated from base damage instead of total damage, or the percentage scaling may be applied incorrectly.

Lifesteal, as displayed in the UI, has unfortunately been a lie for a while.

Long ago, I think in The Breach, lifesteal received an internal multiplier of 20%. From Hotfix 2 to 26873 lifesteal was 30% of the indicated percentage (if the game claimed 10%, it was 3%).

From Patch 1, or 28175, lifesteal is reduced further, to what is now 15% of the indicated percentage (for 10%, an effective 1.5%). Thank you to sBAM for the help!

The patch notes are vague on this, unfortunately:

The hidden coefficient should be set to 0.15 after patch 1 I think.
