Game in end game is to zooming and skill less. In coop even more.
Thomas specifed we didnt want it to be clicker poe like zooming and laughed on modern arpg genre and how it looks like specifing he didn’t want no rest to looks in end-game as other games. But its now. All end game builds are to powerful for open world and crucible for current state of EA.
While monster dmg seems fine as they can still kill you. Due to low monsters hp everything is trivalized and about zooming like in poe or diablo - and nothing else. It’s enough to kill a mob even with no bis/optimized build on upgraded weapons. Which makes open world null - and from emotional adventure changes into POE like zooming from mob to mob. I have played on most weapons: fists, swords, hammers and axes - and she with staff’s. Then our game changed and some point to me just trying to get close to mob and she killing it with one rune attack before i can do anything as melee. Even with low weight fist builds which zoom with that “Shadow step” evade.
In duo while playing with my wife we dont even need any great gear. Not even bis or fully upgraded and game loses its identity and charm as its changing into one button fiesta from enemy to enemy.
To understand me better:
I have played poe 1 since beta and still playing it, as well as im more focused on poe 2 now than on poe 1, im playing titan quest 1/2, still playing Diablo 2 and i love souls likes and mix of them with hns games like nioh 2.
I wish for no rest to turn more to souls like than modern “Arpg” term and poe/diablo likes.
