Game crashes to desktop after Crucible update

I also encountered the same problem, here is a description of my problem

I can not enter the game

have you tried to check the validity of game files via steam? go to your library and right click on no rest for the wicked. select properties → installed/local files. then select verify integrity of game files. it might take a few minutes. steam checks for missing game files and downloads them if needed.

I haven’t yet resolved this issue. Have you resolved it?
