This has been an problem at launch and im shocked to see it still remain, but the phase 2 transition attack from Echo Knight still has no proper telegraph or sound cue, yet is arena wide. This is bad design since its basically just having the player rely off gut feeling when they’re about to drop when all their other attacks have proper telegraphs. This is their only problematic attack now. At least their charge attack in phase 1 has a much better hitbox now and is very consistent.
It’s not arena wide (but it’s pretty large). Yes, you have to get a gut feeling when to dodge.
I still believe it should have a telegraph, sound cue, or visual cue for when its about to arrive. As when they do the attack later in the subphase its perfectly telegraphed. This is the only problematic attack to me.
I just use the shield and pray the bastard doesnt land on my back hehehe, the worst attack is that circle of doom sword on the ground autohit crap he does, god i hate that thing.
I was playing earlier and I could survive any of his attacks, but if I stepped in the fire it was lights out.
I agree, if we take Radahn in Elden Ring as example on his phase transition, there are CLEAR telegraphs. Both audio and visuals, other than even music all changing and makes you consider to look around to see the descent. Here, we cannot move the camera around, and there is no audio or visual to telegraph.
In my case, i died to Echo Knight because fire and low framerate did not allow me to see him actually jumping off his “horse” on phase transition, i only noticed the second time, which i think it’s a cool detail
I agree, there could be more of an audio and visual que. The damage covers about 75% of the arena but his landing fire doesn’t go that far out. Maybe similarly to Radahn’s meteor entrance they could have a light and sound visible a couple seconds prior.
