I deleted some test realm, and got this debug text.

Same issue in the current version (1 year later)
It does not really delete the realm DAT file (same for Characters) it only set the Boolean key (“enabled”) to false.
The …/DataStore directory can potentially become overloaded and manually deleting files is tedious with cloud storage (I am playing on PC and Steamdeck): resynchronizing “out of synch” cloud re-add the deleted files
