similar thing happened to me once, did you try to go to the platform? does it lower?
Do you have a Fallen Ember in your inventory?
everytime i die , the ember is gone it happend after i died for the 3rd 4th time … i think if i start a new realm and go to last campaign quest it gives me one but after death bugged
omg! you need FALLEN EMBER to restart it , i had it not in my inventory !! pressure of what kind of boss i would face got to me i think

lol ran into the same issue, a hint from the game that you don’t have an ember would be great tho^^
yeaa i had like 200 of those things… i am a collector farming and training untill i kill enemies with almost one blow , call me oldskool but the over powering training with jrpg from back in the day
early acces thaught the campaign was complete but the online function was not complete co=op and housing stuff
great game a souls game i feel i can finish with out cheat engine xD
