Critical strikes need to have a more impactful sound design (or visual)

Hello, so it’s in the title.

I really think that critical strikes need to have a sound effect or something so you know you landed one. I don’t like playing with the attack damages displayed. I think it’s ugly and clash to much with the native UI (which is really a nice and clean UI), but i want to know when i land a critical strike.

I don’t know yet if there are enchantements for critical strikes, but if ever they add it, it will be mandatory to know when you land a critical strike without having those big orange numbers displayed

I also think that in term of feeling and impact in the gameplay it adds a lot. It’s usually satisfaying to know that you landed a critical because you heard a cool sound effect.

They do have both crit chance and damage increase enchantment and I defenetely agrred that it needs a special sound effect even tho it wont feel like parry I would also love to have a both visual and soundwise feedback when I land those crits.

absolutely agree. i don’t like playing with screen numbers either. it ruins immersion. this is a great idea. just a little subtle vfx/sfx.

i would like to be able to turn ui completely off except for the radial hp/stamina

I’ve played for several hrs and have no idea if I’ve ever proc’d a critical hit… :slightly_smiling_face:

I get it for the sake aesthetic flair, but I’m not sure I actually want it. I use audio for gameplay feedback. understanding attack timings, and if I got a parry etc. For the sake of keeping the soundscape clean, I think i’d prefer not having it. Unless it added gameplay changes, like I think it should, anyway.

But I guess you want it for feedback purposes, so they might as well add an option

Yeah i can understand that ,as I said it could be also a visual effect, nothing big.
Also they probably already thought about it. Maybe they already have a good reason why it’s not in the game.
