[Combined] Sometimes an enemy doesn’t properly aggro

On steam deck OLED, Enemies FREQUENTLY just stop attacking and follow me around and they cant be locked onto. Eventually some start attacking but the second boss (red head guy) just stood there and the npc’s killed him. I didn’t even get to see his moveset…what a shame, this is a great game.

I seem to be encountering a bug in the first couple of areas where the fire axe enemies, along with a few other minor enemies won’t attack me.

I came here to check in, but also share something that happened this week. It seems to be related to my account or instance, and not any specific character, enemy nor area. I was playing with friends in a realm and, when entering an area, if I entered first, the enemies would pay attention to me, but they would not attack me. I could not target any of them. My friends, who came in after me, did not attack immediately because I was showing them the bug. They reported they were able to target the enemies just fine. My friends then attacked the enemies and the enemies turned and began to attack my friends and I still could not target any, nor did any enemies bother attacking me. We recreated this at least 3 times in different areas.

In summary: In the same realm (not created by me), and whilst we’re all in an area together, attacking the enemies together, I could not target them and the enemies did not attack me, but all 3 of my friends in the party did not experience this issue at all.

Sadly I didn’t get a recording, but I will try to next time I’m online with friends.

auto target only works about 70% of the time since the together update. I have tried to disable and then enable the feature again but the problem persists.

Issues with Auto lock not working causing the enemy and my self doing circles around each other until I can shoot them with my bow. Sometimes if I activate a rune it resets it and it works for a little while then it does it again. Any fixes or future updates??? Love the game plays very well on my LCD Steam Deck

I have been having an issue since the Together update where I often times can not target an enemy at the beginning of encounters, and they do not aggro my character, they just walk around me.

I can do damage to them, by just attacking in their direction, but it will not let me lock on to them. This is extremely frustrating to deal with, especially when doing a Crucible run. It extends the time to kill enemies because by just attacking in their general direction I often times miss them as they are just continuously walking around me.

I exclusively play on the Steam Deck, and the rest of my performance is fine. Has anyone else experienced this?

Also, I’d like to apologize ahead of time for the potato quality video included. Recorded my Steam Deck, using my iPad, and then had to convert it to a GIF…so not great.

this is not going to be helpful but…

i totally respect the cowboy screen capture method.

p.s. never happened to me - only that mobs in one specific spawn point have 0 aggro or any ai wiring at all. in shrouded cave in nameless pass

It’s weird how they notice me and start tracking me, but just don’t attack. Then, all of the sudden they start to attack and then I can target them.

In my potato video, right before the Knight swings at me, you can barely make out the white targeting dot that appears on him. Before that it doesn’t appear on them even if I click the thumbstick in.

I’m still seeing this bug multiple times during a session.

Enemies notice you, are able to track you and move around you. They just don’t attack.
Also, for some reason, auto-targeting is completely broken during this.

After testing for a while, I noticed that turning VSync off solves it instantly.

Never reproduced this before in my monitor (I always play at 60fps).
This week I’m playing in a new TV, and tried a few different video settings. When VSync is on, it will eventually happen.

Turning it off makes the enemies attack again instantly.

Should be included in the upcoming patch! (but no ETA for that)
