I made a masterwork item, but when I took it to exalt with the Watcher, I noticed it could not be exalted. I can increase the gem rolls, but it won’t get the exalted stats, and will be missing the bonus attack. I made the assumption that it was probably the infusion gem that was bugging, because it doesn’t have a roll, so the game is not recognizing it as the “max roll”, and thus not exalting the item.
To test it, I decided to make another masterwork item, of the same sword. This time, I didn’t add an infusion gem, and now the game shows it can be exalted for the extra attack.
In the following image, I’m showing both the swords, on the left the sword that has an infusion gem and can’t be exalted, and on the right the sword that doesn’t have any infusion gem and can be exalted
