Burn Rework

Burn in its current form is just straight up the Worst Buildup/Ailment in the game its not even close

Bleed tics faster and harder then Burn with a 50% Burn DMG mod on the chest?
Burn doesn’t do any CC (Crowd Control) like Freeze
No burst like Shock
Plague gives a Slight DoT (Damage over time) but Super solid Sustain

Searing does legit nothing to Burn just fire spell hits

My suggested Changes

  1. Allow Burn to scale with Fire Damage rolls. This allows a higher ceiling for the TIC/DoT

  2. Allow Burn to crit. This will allow more consistent solid DoT dmg that will also be allowed to scale with Crit damage gear.

  3. Burn has a Fire resistance shred/de-buff. This will enable again more consistent DoT damage without needed to buff the Ailment itself.

The only reason I feel it needs a change because most if not all fire builds I see IGNORES the fact Burn even exists unless you are using it for Searing or Overload

Good ideas. Burn does feel very underwhelming. Mabe it should also spread by default if other emenies touch buning ememies.

giving it a Proliferation could great also!

Note: incoming burn damage is completely overtuned, so any adjustments would need to be balanced separately for outgoing vs incoming burn damage :sweat_smile:

Yea no when WE are burning it is deadly asf early and mid game in hardcore ive died to Bruiser Burn that falling
