Beta Tuning and Progression Systems Feedback

lol fully agree on the transmog, I can’t wait for transmog to be in game for 1.0 because lack of it will be miserable. At the least, let us toggle the helmets off. So many of them are so goofy and designed to just cover your entire face and hair, which you spent half an hour customizing, only to never see in cutscenes or as reactions in emotes.

I love the new sets they added for this patch because at least for now they’re not recycled enemy/npc armor. Maybe we’ll see enemies with these attires later, but I hope not. I don’t really like as a member of an exclusive mysterious order being dressed like some common villager or recycled enemy attires. I want to feel unique in the game world, like my character is indeed something completely alien and apart from what usually inhabits Sacra or most villages and cities.

I specified balance for lower difficulties as well because I feel Unspoken difficulty (the hardest) is where they should experiment and accommodate the hardcore soulslike players and challenge or “dodge+parry and perform fight choreography perfectly with super optimized builds or die” approach to design. The rest of the game should be balance for average players with average playtimes and life commitments.

@Zenith I also have stamina issues but i also invested in health regen/lifeleech gems instead of stamina ones. and even with a stamina on dodge i had to manage stamina a lot, which is kinda okayish where i am currently at. with a good % stamina on damage dealt that might be actually okayish (given that i also have on -15% stamina cursed gear). but to me the tradeoffs feel fair and meaningful.

BUT just without lifeleech fight would be br00dl af. idk if you tried, but bleed sucks. idk if they just didnt implement it but lifeleech when bleeding doesnt work at all and bleed itself also doesnt seem to work. at least on a fully juiced p4 daran. (which might not have been the right test scenario ngl, haha, it just happened you know^^)

AND you gotta abuse durable + increased durability + x% reduced damage taken enchant
which is kinda a heavy investment but it made the game bearable on hardest diff

I agree on rings, i would love some ring crafting from gems so we have a sink for those as well.

Yeah, I’m OK with some RNG as long as there are reasonable ways to mitigate it that feel respectful of player time, and that the system makes items complementary to a build and not an entry barrier to it.

Weapons and runes and armor types should just function well enough out of the box, and the gear should be the cherry on top to add that bit of interesting personalization.

I didn’t play before the heal nerf, they feel pretty well tuned to me. Self handicapping never works in any game, that’s why no game does it.

Food moved from gordon does feel pretty dumb.

Gauntlet’s have their own sets of focus skills which make them work quite well for that type of gameplay. Plus you can suplex stuff and that alone is pretty hype.

I used all cloth on a bow build so I could invest more into damage and stamina. Seems fine.

I did find I had to farm animals more than I wanted but the alternative is to not have to farm them at all which I think would be bad.
