Greetings Cerim. Now before I start I do realize the comedy of the game being called “No Rest For The Wicked” and there not being any healing when you sleep. Had me a chuckle before I decided to try and post about it. But now that health regeneration only occurs with items In combat I feel that there should be an alternative to food only healing.
Having the ability to sleep off a brutal encounter would encourage the players to expand their housing capabilities in town with the inn or their own estates. Logging out in one giving a health buff when you log back in is a great idea! Some beds or other decorations offering different types / strengths of buffs would also be interesting to see. But at the very least your health should rapidly regenerate while lying down in one.
Allow players to recover outside of chugging mushroom soup when they’re safe in town. As it stands now I find myself just accepting death when I’m low health and out of food in order to return to full health before heading to the next destination. This is all assuming I’m basically out of crafting material because I’ve been stomped several times recently. Yes I could be more skilled but in absence of that, perhaps a quick nap?
