Devs. Please don’t let hardcore gamers pressure you to change your vision. This game is amazing. I understand feedback is great for improvements but I have watched so many games over the years get ruined by the hardcore player. I never do this and I have never been so into a game to enter the forums to post about it. Imop a lot of average games don’t have the time nor care to do what I’m doing right now. They want to play a game with the free time they have and enjoy it. I have been gaming for )35+ years and have seen this happen far too many times. This is the first game since the original baulders gate that I am completely hooked on. Great job on a great game and stick to your vision!
I might be a ‘hardcore’ game myself having played all the Soulsborne games solo, but I disagree with a lot of what the hardcore gamers are saying. They are equating difficulty with grind, RNG, and bloated Health Bars, all of which are lazy design choices and should definitely not be encouraged.
this is what we call vagueposting and its kinda juvenile to be doing if youre 35+ years old hehe. just say what you wanna say so people can discuss it with you, otherwise what’s the point of posting in this forum?
if i had to venture a guess, i dont think we should be conflating minmaxing and grinding with difficulty. if anything these two things remove the difficulty and will be balanced by the devs per the recent durability changes to nerf resist overflowing. rng and grinding is not required to be strong in nrftw and if anything enemies are too weak for how strong you can be with good fundamentals and good application of rune skills
Well I guess since you have trouble understanding what your reading let me better explain it for you…..the post was for the developers and not the community. Just wanted to let them know they have a great game going and stick with their vision because it works imo.
You continue to be too vague, what do you mean when you talk about “vision”?
Do you like everything about this game? Do you see any flaws?
For example, would you say that the hunter’s axe is a weapon that works well in the context of the game?
Don’t you think there should be additions like the ability to mark items as favorites so you don’t accidentally sell them?
Devs are capable of critical thinking, but they are also capable of making mistakes.
I think, at least based on the initial post, that he is referring to hardcore players calling for the game to be made harder in various ways. I wish he was clearer, and I tried to expand on his point in my initial reply to this post, but not sure if that was what he meant.
