Attacks cancelling out when entering deep water

I was fighting on the beach at the Shallows and when near the water I noticed one of my attack animations didn’t play out and I instead started swimming. So i tested this in Sacrament and it seems that any attack animation that leads your character into water gets cancelled and it starts swimming.
Also works with rune attacks, and I suppose will work with anything that has some momentum capable of moving you into water.

I’m not even sure if this is a bug but it looks veeeery wierd, cutting off the animation and all, so I’m reporting it anyway.
