Since I updated to version 6000.1.15.0 (30/01/2026) and tried to link my account to Twitch for the drops, I’ve encountered a bug causing all the map markers I placed to disappear. I closed and relaunched the game, and the markers appeared again, but as soon as I teleport—for example to the Ashen Road—the markers disappear from the map once more.
At one point, some of them reappeared in the game world (but not all of them), however they still do not show up on the map.
Placing a custom Map Marker and then closing the map causes it to disappear. Restarting the game makes them appear again, but they disappear again as soon as you fast-travel.
In underground areas like the black trench, map markers can be placed, but they bug out – placing a map marker seems to put 5–10x as many in the same spot but with varying z coordinates. It also doesn’t let me see any of my map markers when I open the map either (though if I close and reopen the game, the first time I open the map I can see all of them).
EDIT: Seems to be happening in the overworld now too
I placed a ? marker on my map to mark a spot where I thought there was a shortcut. I reached the location, and it became a light gray. But now the ? no longer appears on the map, but DOES still appear in my hud when I’m close to it. There’s no way to seemingly remove the mark.
You can see it in the bottom right section of this screenshot. But it’s not on the overhead map at all.
You cant remove the marker on your map by selecting it and press the button to remove it? Try turning on the “Show Custom Map Markers in overworld” in Gameplay settings

I still think its very good info you came out with!
It was placed roughly where my pointer is in this shot. It disappeared from the map when I walked over the location. But it has NOT disappeared from the main UI view.
did you happen to go into the game and open the Map(M)?
after you have toggled it on
well i mean the Map Markers you can place out yourself is “Custom”

OR keep the setting OFF i believe the bug hasnt gotten fixed yet

hmm this is strange if i walk onto them place a marker on them and then press Filter and turn off all icons and then place a marker i can change them into another marker icon ^^ I even managed to remove some of them but im not getting any wiser..
oh now i can see them so i might have fixed it either by playing the prologue for the 2nd time on this realm or i did something else.. I normally press Continue so to check if you can play Prologue go to Realms and enter your realms Prologue if you can i hope it doesnt say Join..
(at this point doesnt even seem to be that but aslong as i load in right at the start i can see them on map and remove so i dont know if it is related to the “……..”)
I can only see the Markers if i open map(M) first time when i get into the realm or i have to go to menu again and re-enter so be fast on going to Map the first thing you do if you want to remove those however just because we solve it as a quickfix its not going to solve the Problem (ofc i already know that)
I’m also having this issue in both underground and the main map. It seemed to start with me placing markers in the underground (sewers under mariner’s keep).
Hello, I noticed an issue with placing map markers in my last few sessions of the game. Didn’t see this posted anywhere yet and I was unsure if I was the only one experiencing it, so trying to report it here! Sorry if UI is the wrong tag, not sure where I’d categorize this under with the existing ones since I feel like this encompasses a little bit more than just UI alone?

Details:
Every time I place one down on the map, I would exit the map and then find that the marker in the overworld appears in either:
A) the correct spot, only after walking away
B) the correct spot, but somehow the icon is duplicated if there’s a marker already nearby (I had herb markers placed already then I marked the dig spot; it took one of the herb markers nearby and duplicated the dig spot marker in the same spot)
C) an incorrect spot in the overworld usually way below the original spot (pic from a previous session, only saw this happen a few times)
Then, when I would go to check the map again, the marker/s would completely disappear from the map but still remain in the overworld. (This part could be indefinitely repeated by placing down more markers within the same session.) The only way for them to have them reappear is by exiting the game either through main menu or desktop, and entering the game again.

I just wanted to start being more mindful of collecting resources efficiently every time I’m in certain areas so I decided to start placing markers down, but in the process I ran into this mild inconvenience haha
