He basically absorbs them and uses them as a projectile extension.
It’s the right decision because soulslike combat with animation locks totally falls apart on multi-enemy fights.
Especially with a fixed camera.
Would be nice if they had either some fade into plague animation something, indicating that they are the summons/powers of Alden, otherwise just found them missing and in the attacks they are easy to miss when being focused on the combat.
