Hi Devs,
I really appreciate the work you’ve put into the Breach update, but I wanted to share some feedback on the Mid‐Load Roll changes. After playing extensively for more than 50 hours after the update, I’ve noticed:
- Significant Slowdown of Mid‐Load Roll
- In the pre‐Breach version, the Mid‐Load Roll struck a great balance: it was fast enough to dodge most attacks, yet still let you wear heavier armors (mesh or plate) and wield one‐ or two‐handed weapons fluidly.
- Now, it feels noticeably sluggish—anywhere between the previous “mid” and “fat” roll speeds—interrupting combat rhythm and making fights feel draggy.
- Impact on Build Diversity
- With “Fast” roll being the only dodge speed that feels responsive, pure dodge builds are effectively forced into lighter (cloth or leather) armor.
- Removal of %‐equip‐load buffs further compounds the issue: to hit the Fast roll threshold, you must strip away defensive benefits, narrowing viable armor choices for dodge‐focused players.
- Suggested Adjustments
- Restore Mid‐Load Roll Speed back to—or at least closer to—the original timing, so it remains a true middle ground between Fast and Fat.
- Re‐evaluate Equip‐Load Buffs on armor, or consider adding new weight‐management options, to preserve build variety without sacrificing defense.
I love the game’s flexibility and would hate to see dodge‐centric playstyles become pigeonholed into glass‐cannon setups. If the team could share the design reasoning behind this change, it would help us understand the direction—and perhaps inform a future tweak.
Thank you for considering this feedback, and for all your hard work on the update!
— Brandon (long‐time mid‐roll enthusiast)
