Accessibility Feedback: Colorblind-Friendly HUD & Icon Options

Hello everyone! How are you?

I’d like to share some feedback and a suggestion regarding the game’s HUD and visual accessibility options.

I am colorblind and have difficulty mainly distinguishing between green and red colors. In some situations, certain HUD elements and visual indicators become hard to read or interpret, which can impact the gameplay experience, especially during moments that require quick visual awareness.

With that in mind, I’d like to kindly suggest considering the addition of a Colorblind Mode in the accessibility settings. It could also be helpful to look into different types of color blindness (such as deuteranopia, protanopia, etc.) to better understand which color and contrast adjustments would best support players.

Additionally, I believe it would be very helpful to:

  • The addition of new icons related to the Plague event, so they better communicate the current state or the required action.

  • The option for players to choose predefined color sets for icons, allowing the HUD to be adapted to different visual needs.

I’m confident these improvements would make a meaningful difference not only for me, but for many other players in the community who face similar visual challenges. The game is fantastic, and this kind of accessibility support would make the experience even more inclusive.

Thank you very much for your time and for the amazing work you’re doing! :folded_hands:

Just started playing the game and the first thing I did after barely being able to make out the red and green HUD for harvesting mini-games and stamina bar was search for a colorblind option in the settings.

8% of men have red-green colorblindness so the UI/HUD colors definitely need to be looked at to support people with various vision deficiencies.
