Hi, I love your game and I want to see it succed and in its best shape posible:
I played only co-op in a 4 man realm and after 15 hours we got some feedback.
(Format: Topic — Reasons (skipable)— # Implementation options)
- More access to other players locations on the map. — In co-op some people rush and other remain behind by trying to find secrets and then is hard to get to you friends especialy with the map complexity. — 1. A button to teleport to players when not in combat or to invite other players to your locations (/with cooldown for balance). 2. or Click on the portrait/map of a friend and create like a guiding line/dotes/arrow towards his location or his path.
- Reduction on party visual effects. — I was frontliner and one friend played with the bow, some of the fire/ electricity barrage explosions were too big, bright and flashy. Between the boss attacks and my party attack’s explosions, I couln’t even see my character or the enemy if they attack me. — 1. Add a slider to make your allies skills effects tranparent or less bright and detailed. 2. or Create enemy and self character stronger outter lines during explosion or self character in front of effects.
- Frendly fire/ Huge range on some weapons. — I understand the frendly fire implementation but I was blocking with my big shield from enemy when my friend knoked me down with his charge attack with the scythe from across the screen even at an angle. — 1. Reduce the effects of frendly fire by incresing the pose of allies or reduce the pose damage of allied attacks on you. 2. Remove frendly fire all togheter and increase the pose of the enemies or something in between.
- Movement weight — I played the tank ( heavy armor and big shield) and because of that I was always left behind because my friends were running almost twice as fast and could jump on ledges that I could NOT. — 1. Equipment weight should ONLY affect dash/dodge mechanic. You should be able to keep up with your friends no mather the equipment you are wearing.
- Equipment weight — As a tank I heavily invested in Equipment load and still found the equipment to be to heavy especialy early on. My ranger friend got a body armor as heavy as mine in mid game and didn’t have the defence capacity that mine had. — 1. Reduce item weight across the board and the late game scalling of weight. 2. Better ratio for weight: armor level. 3. Increase the equipement load per point of atribute or reduce the deminishing return effect.
- Balance weapon atribute scalling — Our friend with a faith dex (2x16) scythe was outdamaging all of us from the start till mid game. Then he did a test and found that all weapons with dual atribute scalling scale better that single atribute weapons even at the same investment points. Since atributes have sweet spots and diminishing returns in a long run 50 points of one atribut is way worse than 2 atributes at 30. (example with same investment) — 1. Increase the power obtained from atributes for weapons with single atribute scalling/ reduce for dual atribute scalling.
